Business Optimisation
Business Optimization.
Business optimization is the fine tuning of new and existing processes within a business until they are at the required level. This requires a higher degree of recording and reporting to ensure that changes can be quickly and effectively managed to guarantee they achieve the desired results. Fortunately at this stage of a business’s development time has become less of a constraint as the performance has been lifted.
Business optimisation is not a localised process, nor is it a manufacturing focussed activity.
Business functional processes must align and link with both strategy and the fundamental business operating model, to ensure effective management.
It is crucial that when looking to improve and optimise performance that consideration be given to impacts across all the primary business functions are examined. There are many anecdotes of local optima destroying business value.
Businesses must understand the relevance of value chain position, and drivers toward competitive advantage when considering what to optimise, and more importantly how to implement programmes that will deliver improvement and change.
Traditionally businesses have grabbed onto workshops such as Lean, Six Sigma and JIT as concepts to run within their operation with limited success.
At Kiwi logic we take a more holistic 5 step process, which is a blend of Lean Business Operations, and Theory of Constraints to take a view across your entire business to identify opportunities to increase optimisation and improve business performance. We utilise techniques such as

- Gemba
- 5S
- Visual Workplace
